Creative and expressive...have entered the contest twice. When Truth Teller was host, and I released the Beastie Boys x Iggy Azalea influenced bop "Iggy Fantastic". It was inspired by what Iggy would sound like on mid 90's rap beat. I chose the Beastie Boys "Intergalactic"cause that beat is fire, and Iggy's bars flowed well over the track. I was praised by my creative take, and Truth Teller was super nice and supportive...and gave positive feedback, and answered any question I had.
I didn't make it out of the first round but it was a positive experience so I decided to try again next season.
Sam hosted the next season and for my first song I decided to write something restrained and emo laden cause that seemed liked what the judges liked. I wasn't surprised that "Neptune Blue" did decent, even thought I didn't put much effort into it. Well...for the second round song entry I decided to go the blue grass route with a song inspired by a cross between Soggy Bottom Boy's "Man Of Constant Sorrow" and Rednex "Cotton Eyed Joe" with the "Tragic Ballad of Paula Deen" The song flew over the head of one judge in particular: Hugamari...he didn't bother judging my song, it wasn't worth his time, and it was basically beneath him to even give feedback because the song didn't fit in his context of what a legit entry was supposed to look like. I was pissed, and let him know so
Anyways I entered the comeback round with a gloomy country ballad titled "The Mountain" it did pretty well, but due to a certain judges unfair opinion of my precious song my score wasn't high enough to continue.
I didn't enter last season due to my experience the precious season and only entered this season cause I thought that judge wasn't going to be included this time...
My writing inspirations include: Linda Perry, Willie Nelson, The Beastie Boys, and Stevie Nicks
3 fun facts are that I won the Geography Bee in Elementary school, I love muscle cars...I got a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT, and I have a phobia of Gnats.
