I wrote my first song the first time I played and I made it about halfway through the competition. If I can do it you can too!
Oh, and we've had quite a few ESL contestants get fairly far, too. (Era got to 8th place in Season 7, for instance. ), and with mentors around, you may be able to get some help with English without worrying about being deceived or something, although that's not something that really happens in this game, at least from my experience. People tended to be honest with me.
The mentor thing is pretty cool, Tangerine helped me to polish my writings on the Drag Race cruise challenge
I'll think about it, or just watch this season and prepare myself to win S11 I saw some drama going on earlier, I don't think you'll need another bitch here

Being that the panel only speaks English, we can't really judge Spanish songs. I definitely recommend signing up, though. Like the others mentioned, you never really know how you will do until you've tried.
A certain member may be unhappy about this, but our second judge this season is someone who has tonnes of experience and success in writing, and will be a great addition to the panel whether you think he understands your humour or not.
