That's not true at all. Next year alone she'll compete with Radiohead, Adele and David Bowie which is obviously a very competitive lineup. Michael and Whitney aren't the only serious competition that an artist can face. Beck himself was a stiff competition since he was even more of a veteran than she was

And saying that Beyoncé has no competition is kind of demeaning for her (on top of being untrue) since she still has yet to win

Those are two different situations. We all seriously underestimated Pharrell (who imo is overrated asf) as if the man didn't win AOTY and ROTY as a featured artist the previous year. He also won based on Happy alone, a 10 weeks #1 that also happens to be the safest, most inoffensive and universal song that ever existed. It also got an Oscar nom and won 2 Grammys that night.

Inb4 someone brings up Work as the reason why Rihanna would win Urban Contemporary over Bey but no. Work will never get the same love as Happy, no matter if it stayed 9 weeks at #1. Pharrell really seems to be a bigger Grammy darling than Rih (and perhaps even Bey) since they actually awarded him over Taylor and Sam Smith that night, something that wouldn't happen to Rihanna.

I wouldn't actually be surprised if Anti won but I still think that Lemon is the clear frontrunner
