Wow, people still think he didn't cheat, despite the fact that Solange fixed his face in that elevator and Bey made an entire album about it. Yeah, you can speculate that it wasn't autobiographical, but she couldn't have made it anymore blatant when he literally appeared during All Night.

She forgave him, but I never forgave her for marrying that man in the first place. I wish her the best in her marriage. However, it's clear Jay is not worthy of Bey's inner and outer beauty, grace, and talent.

Sis... Beyoncé has been singing about infidelity since Say My Name... what's new?

Becky with the good hair is just any lyric and even the writers didn't even take that much notice and care about it... which is why they were surprised when it blew up.

Beyoncé wanted a concept album... To tell a story.. through stages and stuff.. And what better way than "infidelity"/ being cheated on. Lemonade is about "11 stages of grief" and all the songs inform us about us about all those stages that people go through.

She could've chosen "Death" and it would still be a good concept, with obviously a change in song lyrics and the types of songs recorded.

nobody knows what that situation was even about...everybody made up their own story. it went from Jay Z beating Beyonce, to Solange being drunk & bipolar, to him cheating, etc. for all we know...that situation may not have even involved Beyonce. Jay Z could've offended Solange personally & thats why she went off. there are no facts about that situation to say what happened.

According to the press release, LEMONADE is “a conceptual project based on every woman’s journey of self-knowledge and healing.”

And according to Todd the album came about because Beyonce wanted to do an album about the Kubler Ross stages of grief.

Of course, she did put Jay in there so we'd have these discussions and she'll never tell us for sure so to argue is useless I suppose.
