Thanks for the examples, and also I have a cool idea (some of you may have used) that Sia has stated she does sometimes.

Go watch a show, a series, or movie. Then try to write a song from the perspective of one of the characters. It sounds obvious but it's actually kind of gold.

Supposedly Sia got the idea for Perfume after watching a bunch of corny soap operas.
