Most people have grown up listening to pop-dance music and it's therefore the norm? Idk.
I heard 70s and 80s, grew up through the 90s and was a teen already by 00s, then adult by 10s.
My music taste has changed. Or perhaps changed is the wrong word. It's just widened and thanks to Spotify, it's more accessible without the need to remember song, album and artist titles. I discover a dozen new artists a day in different genres, depending on my mood.
Gaga's choice of direction just happens to parallel my own music taste. She's only a few years older too.
