That didn't stop him selling +13M albums, snatching #1s, grammys, Super Bowls etc.
I couldn't care less if he has the stanbase to open with big numbers.

4 complete sentences being an essay.
His label expected 400K+.
If he can't do half of what even his label expected, then call a spade a spade luv.
Like even his label was expecting him to have momentum, starpower, and have gained a large fanbase by now.

I love Bruno and his last 2 albums are AMAZING POP records.
But the visuals and the music this time around are subpar...
He WILL sell a lot though, but the music is just not cute enough.

#1 hit after #1 hit, two multi-platinum albums, two SuperBowls, biggest Song of the Decade just last year, a current hit, and being an A-list name yet he still doesn't have a fanbase that rushes to buy his album when it's out more than 5 Seconds of Summer, Future, and Zayn.
You'd think after all these years he wouldn't have to rely on releasing 5 singles and having them all rotated non-stop to do well overall... and you know, had an actual fanbase ready to buy his stuff.
It's very messy. Even Meghan Trainor did 200k+ first week, off two hits, so what does that say about the mark he's left after all these years doing barely 150k?
While first weeks numbers aren't everything, they're representative of how big your fanbase is and how much momentum your return has. Looking at his first week, well...

Okay slw.

+ great radio support
Yeah, these reasons are exactly why these numbers are borderline tragic.
They wouldn't have been if it was simply another album released in 2016

again, my point still stands. He doesn't even a big fanbase unlike Drake, yet the latter has never had a era/album as big as DW&H and UJ. And that's what counts.
