That's why I brought it up.
back in the early 2000s haters would call her J ho
but even objective casual people in the press would say she's the jen of all trades...
but wouldn't say the rest because we all knew the rest. I stanned for her 99-05 but even I knew that her brand is not about doing things exceptionally well...its about taking a big ole butt turning it into a career and creating a path for latina women to be mainstream and dabble in music, movies, fashion and beauty brands.
Legend Gloria dabbled in music and real estate and her 500M net worth remains unbothered.
JLO was set to carry the torch further it with known minimal talent but the idea was that she'd keep the torch lit so that an actual talented latina singer and actress who can win a grammy and oscar (not just attend the show to watch talent be awarded) would have the opportunity in the future
AND FOR THAT...I am grateful for JLO's impact
Twas never about talent...was about making it possible for latina women to progress in the mainstream.
Also, like the Kardashians JLO was a vehicle TO RIP OFF BLACK CULTURE with a smile and make more money and serve as a middle man between true black culture and white culture.
Get money, btch. I ain't mad
