People in here saying that getting rid of the EC means that small rural states would get ignored when EVERY. SINGLE. SMALL. RURAL. STATE. gets ignored under the current system as well minus New Hampshire. Do you seriously care THAT much about the feelings of the people in New Hampshire? The transperancy
I'm sure people from NH would be fine with the EC leaving since candidates already spend millions on it during the primaries because of its significance (AND it's a state that went to Clinton so clearly they'd like to see her win). So, no, "small rural states getting ignored" wouldn't change if the EC was dismantled.
