I quite like this on first listen. I'll see how it grows on me.

My instant standouts are Finesse and Calling All My Lovelies. A little disappointed in Chunky, the studio version sounds a little watered down and the chorus feels empty. Maybe it's the quality of the leak? Still love the song though

A lot of this album is faceless. It sounds like a Guy or New Edition album. He didn't really bring anything new to the table with the retro sound.

I canceled my preorder. I'm actually really disappointed. While its just ok overall the album just falls flat. Especially considering the fact that it only has 9 tracks. I was expecting to be blown away upon first listen yet all I could do was muster up.......it was ok. This is coming from an owner of all his albums and an attendee of both tours.

Yeah this. And since I'm not a big fan of him, I don't like this album that much. Hey, I'm not saying it's bad, just not my cup of tea. Anyway Chunky and VOTF are my faves, hopefully they'll be second and third single. Finesse is great too. Perm instead is clearly the worst track, ew.

When will your lazy asses learn that albums require time and dedicated ears in order to grow.

Stop being rude, not everyone has to agree with your fanatic thoughts.
This album is boring, most of the songs sound the same and the sound like take out of 1990 without anything new or original. For example Bruno was inspired by MJ in Moonshine, now he's just copying artists from 90s. There's nothing to enjoy.

With that being said there's pretty much no real highlights on the album or anything I see smashing the way his other albums had several instant stand out smashes. With just 9 tracks one would think it would be certain material on the album that would jump out at you but the album just coasts.

Just because I canceled my preorder doesn't make me a lost fan it just means I don't want to spend my money on this specific body of work. A real fan can admit their favorite artist faults and not glorify it just because it's a particular artist.

Given the degree of his talent and capabilities this is just an 'ok' album at best.

I must say I agree with MJLover, I think canceling a pre-order just because the first few listens weren't all that for you feels a bit odd. I am judging no one, because each their own opinion and taste. But music should not be judged upon the first few listens.
