I feel like right now, Beyoncé experiences music differently. I remember seeing ‘Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)’ on TV with my family. It was an event. We all sat around the TV and I’m now looking back, I’m so lucky I was born around that time. I miss that immersive experience.
Now Beyoncé only releases to Tidal and iTunes. She don’t really invest in the whole single experience. It’s all about the album, and the hype. It’s so much that gets between the music and the artist and the fans. I felt like, she don’t want anybody to give the message, when her record will be released to Spotify. She just wants the songs to come out when they're ready and from her to her fans. She probably told her team, ‘I want this album to be a 365 day Tidal exclusive for streaming’. Everyone probably thought she was crazy. But she's actually doing it. It’s happening."
