Zara and 5H aren't bland at all though Little Mix have some bland songs (which is the main reason I'm only a casual fan) but a lot of good songs too.

most 5H fans tend to sway to SNSD/Red Velvet so that's probably one of the songs you heard While I prefer female artists in America, I prefer the boys in k-pop. Maybe they might be for you or maybe you haven't heard the right girl groups. I disliked korean GGs for the same reason until I learned about AOA, 4MINUTE, Stellar, BLACKPINK etc. Not all of them are candy, cutesy and unicorns but eventually, you learn to appreciate those too.
