His win in Michigan was super, super slim (I think only a few hundred or thousands votes?) during the primaries (versus how he blew her out of the water in Wisconsin) and we had figures coming out that the epicenters of the Muslim population (places like Dearborn) were going for him.

Of course one can't win elections with Muslim/Native/Asian voters, but the whitewashing of his supporters in the primaries by Clinton & the DNC feel ironic now. It's like people act brand new, as though it wasn't Clinton who was rubbing many Muslim Americans and Arab Americans wrong with her Israel ties during the primaries.

The myth that Bernie could only flip white voters when he was pulling in POC the Dems and Clinton for years had ignored makes the "oh of COURSE he couldn't win" rhetoric feel short-sighted and buying into its own propaganda

Edit - Bernie snatched Michigan by just 17k votes. Census estimates have the Arab population in Dearborn at around 40k, many of whom are Muslim. Data suggested he was outperforming her 2 to1 and took over 60% of the Arab vote in the area of Dearborn, so yeah, they helped in a very tight race. The "white male bro" candidate was able to resonate and appeal to a section of minority voters in a way Clinton simply couldn't, but that pokes holes in the DNC narrative.

Hawaii is so overlooked in the blue column, it's practically the darkest shade of navy. Everything from the ground up, the people, the politics, the state Congress and how it votes in Presidential elections.

The DNC and Clinton's supporters swore Clinton had to be the nom because she could not only deliver Obama's coalition but also expand it, and also deliver centrist/moderate whites unlike "unemployed socialist Bernie".

She failed to do the both things the DNC almost destroyed itself promising she could do.

Thus, half of Sanders supporters ended up not supporting Hillary while 90% of hers supported Obama despite both being "rigged" in one candidate's favor. They just didn't predict this sort of backlash.
