I agree with you and it is true. Her being white and straight (far as we know) means that no matter what she says and how educated she tries to be, someone will drag her and tell to shut up and stay in her lane. I get that. Seen it happen to other white stars when they would try to talk about BLM and racism. People want it both ways. They want white stars to speak up on that,acknowledge white privilege and be woke but when they do or if it doesn't come out the right way, people drag and lash. It doesn't make any sense and they want Taylor to go there just so they can drag and call her a privileged racist bitch.

But nobody needs people convinced Taylor is a white supremacist asshat just because she doesn't talk about racism. The Nicki Minaj incident would have been an opportunity for her to show that she is trying to be informed on intersectionality (Nic said they spoke for like 2 hours and I'm sure Nic explained why she got backlash) when she was asked about what she learned. All she said was thatshe learned to stay out of things.

People come for her because she is a pretty white girl with blue eyes and blond hair and jealous of her privilege so they project. So yeah her going on about race is tricky. Doesn't mean she still shouldn't try and show that shes at least wants to learn.

You guys are so closed minded. Just because she spoke on feminism does not mean she has to support Hillary Clinton for President. Hillarys campaign was weak, her slogan #Imwithher said nothing but people should support her because she is a woman she relied on celebrities and did win the popular vote. Trump's slogan was "Make America Great" which is far more powerful.

Taylor just a month or so ago was accused of being such a bad influence that she all by herself cost Tom Hiddleston an Armani spokesperson job as well as ruined his entire acting career. Yet these same folks think she can influence people to vote for a woman with a weak campaign simply because Taylor said so. Don't think so.

She will likely speak out for a Presidential candidate when one comes along who is worth speaking out for. Both of these were weak.

When did I say that I'm unstanning? I'm not. If I were, I still wouldn't be here. But since this is a debate that has been going on, I'm allowed to give my opinion just like you are. She doesn't owe Hillary anything, just because you believe in equality between the genders doesn't mean you need to support every female ever. Hilary was already seen as the establishment and the fact that all the media and celebrities were on her side strengthened that, her support wouldn't have done anything. She's already overexposed and decided to merely vote privately for her instead.

Once again. She's literally rich, white and straight. No one will listen to her, no one will take it seriously. Saying something feminists didn't like already tarnished her reputation, acting like someone will take seriously her speeches about race and sexual orientation is dumb. No one except some musicians took seriously her when she spoke about streaming and its payment.
