Is this possible? Everyone makes it seem like there's no going back now.
It is possible but electors are pretty partisan people I would be shocked if so many electors divert to HRC to make her President. That would literally be the ultimate surprise of the election
Electoral college is the only hope I have left for America and the world. They can not let a man this dangerous and reckless be president. They CANNOT. I don't care about democracy. It's about the damn future ffs.

December/ January surprise
I'm not going to put much stock in it but it's still there
The articles i read practically said the electoral college is put there for reasons like this..
Quote:
But it is increasingly likely that we will reach precisely the kind of scenario that the Founders worried about — divisive political discourse threatens to thrust a dangerous candidate into office who appears inclined to govern more like a monarch than a president. Opportunities remain for cooler heads to prevail in our presidential election. And state legislatures should consider doing so this year.
Tl;Dr: The voting system is trash, and neither party will fix it as they enjoy their monopoly even when it ****s them over.

The electoral college is trash for democracy. It depresses turnout and forces people to choose the candidate they hate least rather than the one they want. Neither main party will campaign against it because they know that the second their iron grip around Americans necks are loosened parties like the Greens and Libertarians are going to snatch millions of votes, and probably the Presidency at some point whilst making one or both of the traditional parties irrelevant.
It's absolutely ridiculous how y'all act towards people expressing a desire for a candidate who isn't one of the main two. If it is shown that the electoral college is completely irrelevant by not acknowledging millions of votes then pressure for change is likely to build, that alone a pretty good reason to vote third party. Plus change has to start somewhere, you can't think "I'll vote Green - once polls show that Green is going to get at least 40% of the vote."
You can't blame people who voted third party for Clinton losing the election, for all we know they were Trump leaning or just wouldn't have voted at all if the Government banned people from supporting their preferred candidate. American politics are so polarised because everyone is thinking "Texas is a red state" "38 votes for Trump" rather than realising that almost half of Texans voted for Clinton, and those votes are meaningless. You're required to vote for one extreme or the other, no compromise, everyone else is the worst person. If every vote mattered things would be a lot better.
The Democrats have had 16 years to kick up a fuss and campaign against the system and, unless the media is just ignoring that policy so I've missed it, they haven't been doing it. Lets see if round 2 of that changes anything, or if they're happy with their loss because they know anti-Government protest votes will swing to them next time rather than to a third party campaigning for a change to the norm.
Just something I've been thinking about for the past few weeks but I always missed the draggings of Stein and Johnson in here so couldn't be bothered starting the argument again. 🖒
Trump is a smart man, when it comes to completely tricking all the Reublicans with all of his ******** policies, when in reality he has different views on the main topics. ALREADY, he's shown support for LGBT+ rights & taken back his statement regarding the deportation of Muslims (removed off his website) So let's see exactly WHAT policies and laws he will impliment.
