One time we are all country fans (haha still a good joke considering most of them hate her) who are "all racist republicans", then she's only successful because she's doing pop whose listeners are "all democrats" as we've learnt here. not gonna lie, i'm disappointed for her lack of voice, i don't care if she didn't endorse a candidate, but i care that she is so silent on real social issues, i can defend her when people drag her for that or her feminism.

She's really starting to show her true colors. She has turned into a company, one scared of losing fans, money, and popularity. She used to be an honest artist who said what she wanted to in her songs (yes, she has always kept politics to herself but it has never been as crucial as in 2016) but with the 1989 era, she really became all business and you can really tell now with this election. Trump was such an OBVIOUS bad choice and she was still scared to speak out against him. This wasn't about her, but she still tried protecting her neutral brand. Sure, it's more than likely that she voted for Hilary, but by staying silent, she showed that she has no backbone, no true vision of justice. This "I wanna keep my politics private" is privileged BS. She could have spoken out, but she doesn't seem to care much. And I'm really starting to see that.

social issues in her songs???, let me wait for TS6, as i say i dont care about her not endorsing a candidate, but i care that she is showing a big lack of character, especially when the tapes of trump making sexist remarks about women surfaced and she said nothing. still love her and support her, but girl give me something, show me that you care the way we care about you.

I'm truly disappointed, like, the GP doesn't care about Gaga or Katy, Bey is a voice for black woman, but she's the only popstar who can reach young white woman. The thing is, Trump still would've won, but at least I would know she did something good thinking about other people other than herself. Hell, she could've done it about herself, saying she couldn't support a man like that after that radio guy touched her, but not even that.
