Obama needs to commit his post-presidency to working within minority communities to make sure they become a solid and reliable voting block for Dems on the national, state and local levels. Take on their causes (he can do that now since he's not in office) and go back to his community organizing roots. Young people and AAs still respond to him but they need to see him working side by side with them

His voter base mostly consisted of independents who had no responsibility to back the democratic nominee. They backed him for who he was and his policies, not because there was a D next to his name.

No, Bernie wouldn't have won. I don't think pepple quite get what happened and led to Trump's victory. It wasn't about the candidate. It was about white people having an uprising against every value of the left's platform, the things that Hillary and Bernie were for. Sure his favorbility would be higher, but he campaign wouldn't be abe to softened the anger.
