Also what's with the whole #LoveTrumpsHate thing? Maybe it's my Idaho/Texas upbringing, but I always saw merits in his positions. I just believed they were poorly articulated.
Illegal immigration and underpaid undocumented workers is a problem? Yes.
(Maybe the wall isn't the best solution, but he's speaking to the core of issue, i.e. secure our border)
Extremist terrorist are hiding behind Islamic rhetoric to justify their atrocities? Yes.
(So it makes sense to keep a closer eye on Muslim immigrants coming INTO the country, I don't think he suggested deporting ones that are already here)
(The "make them register" thing was a mess though

but that was admittedly pandering)
Law and order must prevail, but we also need justice? Yes.
(He emphasizes the need for respect of local authorities, but he doesn't deny there are systemic issues that need to be addressed)
Trade deals are screwing us? Yes.
(Trade deals could be reworked to better favor the US)
HIs only messy views are on social issues (abortion, gay marriage, etc.), but even then he's a centrist in many respects. I just see it as another angle for pandering.
