In fact, forget about registration. You get your "voting" ID at 18 and if it's not expired then you should be able to just show up at your precinct and vote.

Agreed, I think it's amazing how we (males, anyway) are automatically registered to be drafted, but not to vote. Shows where our priorities lie.
But I definitely think going online is the way of the future, young people and working class don't always have time to go vote. I've dealt with registration online, I don't see how they wouldn't be able to make sure it is reliable and secure, just like managing my NYS registration online has been.
