She should have added Bernie to the ticket. Whether they agreed on everything or not did not matter. She needed credibility on those issues and Kaine did not bring it. He barely gave her Virginia.

I thought this all along too, sis. It especially came to mind when I saw how many white voters on the left were ambivalent or flat-out repelled by Clinton. The whole "lesser of two evils" vote really sunk in with them. I, like most of us, thought the progressive platform would make the Democratic coalition show up in enough numbers to counteract the angst. Bernie Bros sitting out, going 3rd party, or even Trump hurt Democrats tremendously.
Poor people at the parties
They'll learn one day that not everything is about "social justice".
