Loona will deff have fillers with 12 members. I bet they could have taken it down to like 7/6 members and had a perfect group of 6 soloists that can serve dancing, rapping, vocals and visuals.

At least they're properly introducing all 12 of them before their debut. That's what bothers me with most big ass groups that I only know about two members and the rest is serving faceless filler for me (@WJSN @gugudan)
It worked well with IOI because of Produce 101, it might work with LOONA because of their pre-debut promo tactics.

the only smart thing YG did is when he decided that BP will no longer be a big group, and kept the 4 we have now

(even tho I love Jinny, r.i.p to her ever debuting lolz), and his sincere explanation that the market is saturated with big groups now, and 4 members would stand out better was also on-point.

but as I said, I.O.I and TWICE being the leading gg's atm (aside from GFriend) is having all companies wanna hop on board, which is stupid since it's now become hard to stand out and gain fans with big groups

In some shocking news I am really feeling B.A.P's new album

It has some really stunning instrumentals, but my main thing is that I can't get into their vocals sometimes, its just too harsh/grating. But this is definitely shocking to me given my reception to their other material.

I genuinely don't understand the logic. The only time a filler member makes sense is if they're a foreigner. Otherwise it's just a big ?

4, 5, 7 and 9 are the best numbers for group members imo.

3 looks too small and awkward and anything over 9 is just too many people on the stage.

I know all the girls, cause I love them individually but yes it's sad

Starship had such a flawless set of trainees, and they should've been in two separate groups, most of the girls will remain irrelevant and unknown despite their big potential

WJSN case still has me bitter, I literally like every single member and that's rare for me in big groups
