After an intense recount process and the decision of the United States Supreme Court in Bush v. Gore, Governor George W. Bush officially won Florida's electoral votes, by a margin of only 537 votes out of almost 6 million cast, and as a result, the entire presidential election. The process was extremely divisive, and led to calls for electoral reform in Florida.
I still can't believe something like that actually happened.
If I was old enough then, I'd probably had been so livid for those 4 whole years.
As a Canadian, I am really looking forward to tonight. I've never followed an election as closely as this one (only because I couldn't go a day without hearing a scandal from either side) and normally I try to keep opinions to myself regarding politics but I just can't fathom the idea of a Trump presidency. Thankfully all of my family members in California, Colorado, and Florida are all with Hillary (from what I've seen posted on their facebooks)
Careful, those are partly based on early-polls and turnout projections that may not turn out to be exactly what they were predicted to be. They have Jill Stein getting some of the vote in Nevada when she's not even on the ballot there.

I know that, hence estimated vote count. I'm taking them w a grain of salt
