In some states they can "question signatures"
Also, some are strict about who can deliver your ballot in your place. A judge in Arizona threw out the rule so for a few hours GOTV was collecting ballots from mostly minority communities in remote areas before the Supreme Court told them to stop and that the state can toss those votes. The votes are now stuck in limbo since GOTV doesn't know what to do
