To me it doesn't tbh, like, I feel bad for the sane Republicans that have to vote for trash like Trump because even if he's complete trash, "his party" still supports/represents more of the values they consider important than the Democrats.
It's not like the Democrats have the best candidate on their hands either, Hillary is obviously not bad and definitely miles better than Trump, but she isn't a great candidate either.
