Millennials are likely to remain liberal leaning IMO. Which is a good thing. The Republican Party is long overdue for a total reform of its platform. It's still in our best interest to have at least 2 competitive political parties.

And, I actually think it's a shame current generations are getting their news from unaccredited unverified social media platforms. MSM mostly has fact-checkers and individuals who vet news 24/7 to provide quality outcome.

To be fair, I don't think we've forgotten how backwards this nation has been (slaves, civil rights, women suffrage, gay marriage, etc.). It is remarkable that all these things existed not too long ago.

I was talking to this lady at a yarn shop in town and she was telling me about sexual harassment she experienced at work until she was 45, and it blew me away. I don't understand why people can do things like that to one another.

Competely agree. There's not gonna be some sort of dramatic shift amongst us in 15-20 years.

I very much doubt the Republicans will have their **** together though. Maybe some 3rd party will finally emerge who knows.

They're just reacting to Democratic issues. Basically the Dems support something and they come out against it. Not that they're trying to be obstructionists outright, they're just worried Democrats are ruining their "traditional" values. Obviously there will always be homophobes like there will always be racists but eventually trying to devoid the LGBT of rights won't always be a focus of the GOP platform.

I read an article a while back that talked about how the senate and house members have diverged in the political spectrum since I think it was 1972. You'd think over time we would have converged to the center. Or I should say, that's what my expectation would have been.

A Clinton supporter should not be worried about Tuesday. She's going to win but it's going to be close. What matters next is whether or not the people in government will do their job.

The obstructive nature of our government has got to stop if we're going to turn this ship around—regardless of political affiliation. We need to come together as Americans and start solving problems again.
