Rae srenmund mentioned Queen and praised her at every interview they ever given since Formation dropped. Queen just gave a career to two young rappers. Black queen her power

Didn't they write Formation? That's like totally normal.
This weekend has literally been enlightening for me in terms of music, I discovered that some artists I've heard of before and thought were subpar are actually pretty good, like The Neighbourhood (most of both albums), Kelela (3 songs off of Hallucinogen), Kehlani (3 songs off of You Should Be Here + CRZY), SZA (Almost the entirety of Z), Abra (ALL OF HA) and Trentemoller (Fixion the album). Next weekend I'm gonna give full discog listens to Marina and Ciara. Any suggestions on some essential dark and haunting R&B artists? Something like Nightride but with clearer dark trap influences.

Maybe you would like Dawn Richard's solo music? It's good but as a warning she can get rly pretentious.
