She only sold 3 copies in Saudi Arabia whereas she was #1 in Saudi Arabia last week so that means Joanne is officially a flop

I think Gagas album is seemingly doing well only in the context that everybody was expecting much worse. Her fans almost set themselves up to be disappointed so they could celebrate half decent sales.
In the long run I think the album will struggle to reach Gold status. Unless she can have some surprise hit from it. Superbowl may give it a late boost. But I assume(and hope) she'll mostly be doing her classic few hits from the early days.

Tove's numbers still tragic but at least she's surpassed the projections.
Solid numbers for Gaga

A Moon Shaped Pool - dropped 81% second week
Lemonade is the only one with a better drop; and that's partly because it's first week was not a week, it was under 3 days. If she had a full first week, and a full second week she'd probably have had a 60-70% drop. Her second week was 7 days of activity versus 3 days the week before.
A 60-70% drop is a normal SPS drop with hits; while 70-80% is a normal SPS drop for an album with no hits.
The #1 album before Joanne dropped 77% second week (Kings of Leon), the #1 before that dropped 78% second week (Green Day).

Then explain why she's one of four acts to see debut sales of 200k+ this year? Why she has the second biggest debut for a female artist WW and US? Why she's the first female to hit #1 on the Artist 100 since Adele, something Beyonce and Rihanna have yet to do? Why she's the female with the most consecutive days at #1 iTunes worldwide for a 2016 release? Why she's the female with most #1 debuts overall this decade / four consecutive #1 albums in a row? Those are things she's achieving in comparison to others in the industry sweetie, not things that look good in the context for HER only because people expected worse.
Since the "wait until Joanne fails to crack 100k first week" and the "wait until the 80%+ second week decline comes in" discussions by the OGHs were both proven false, I guess the new excuse for them to scramble to is "wait until the album struggles to reach gold status". Considering it's still sitting pretty top 10 in it's third week despite two weeks of releases and CMA overload messing up iTunes... third time's wrong a charm?

I think it's all relative. It does matter around which circumstances the artists release their albums like what's the competition etc. If Drake, Rihanna, Beyonce, Gaga released all in the same week, the results would be completely different.

Well, bravo sis, you won the contest for the less thought through post in this thread.
For now, deal with the fact she's nr 1 on Artist chart, has second biggest debut for a female this year both in the US and WW and she's basically not only not a fad but very much on top of the pop industry and music on general along with couple of others.

Joanne is doing good, kind of great. It seems to me the sales arent behaving like your normal pop album, so she may have longevity without the need of a hit blasting pop radio. I think Gaga indeed found a new audience.
