No other person in music before or since has been the fashion and art world muse that Madonna was and still is. Rihanna is the fashion darling nowadays but it's just not the same. The way Madonna put designers on the map, and the way designers turned to her to model their newest creations and represent their brand. No one rivals. It's why she is at the Met Ball every year and Mariah, Janet, Britney are absent af. No one wants to work with them or create anything for them, because it simply isn't worth it. But Madonna's fame and power complements their creations, and that creative synergy is hard to come by these days. Not everybody has that.
