23 is actually a formidable debut, considering she hasn't promoted it at all. I think once the video arrives, we will get we the smash we are all anticipating, but I don't think it should be written off as a flop just yet.

"Dirrty" peaked at #48 on the hot100, yet it is considered a hit. Numbers do play a large part in something being considered a hit or not, but wait for other aspects before jumping to conclusions.

Debuting at 23 isn't bad at all. There wasn't any substantial promotion for it. All we got was a revamped website and a countdown for daily "treats". I would hardly say 23 is bad with that being the only promotion.

23 would not be a bad debut under different circumstances, or if the song was expected to climb... But that is not the case. There's a high probability that this could have been its peak, though I'm hoping the video will push it into the top 20.

I completely agree and videos usually are the thin line between flop or not. I think with an epic video she could have a smash i.e. "Bad Romance", "Single Ladies", "Womanizer". I'm almost positive top 20 is going to be an easy feat to accomplish once she starts performing it and debuting the video.

I must say I am not happy Christina Aguilera isn't doing good with her 1st single, but I'm super happy her delusional, aggressive and disrespectful stans are being slapped in the face.

It's deadly funny to see them celebrating a #15 Digital debut and a #23 Hot 100 entry when both are a DISASTUH for such a 'legendary' singer.

Seriously, just stop trying to make this a good thing. But hey, you all should thank Duca for opening that #27 debut thread so you guys could be happy with a better entry now.

It's odd because in recent times 23 would have been an AMAZING debut. But I guess what makes this unimpressive is how that's after its first week of digital sales. We're entering an age where top 5 debuts will be common.

Hopefully she can reach a top 20 peak. There's the issue of the song simply being stale by the time she performs it on AI, but AI has the power to make it un-stale.

All I'm saying is 23 isn't bad. I'm not a Christina "stan", but give her credit where it's due. It could have been worse. However with little to know promo, it debuted where it did. After a great video and live performances, it will undoubtedly rise.

She HAS been promoting. Promo IS happening. No promo is not an excuse and hasn't been since the week long hype pushing single debut on Christina's official site. There IS promo and it has done horribly.

I don't know how much clearer to make it.
