This year has been amazing

I traveled to Seattle and Vancouver in winter
Puerto Rico in March
London, Paris, Barcelona, Lisbon in May
Road trip to Colorado and South Dakota in August
And going to Los Angeles and Phenix this Christmas


Lisbon is so underrated, charismatic and beautiful! The architecture is something else. The city is rather poor but super charismatic. These tiles on the buildings
I was blown away by South Dakota. Rapid City in particular, well not the town itself of course
Badlands and Custer Parks blew me away

Next year, I plan to visit Iceland and make a road trip over the island, Amsterdam, Brussels, Italy, and Paris again
Also a bigger road trip from Chicago to California and visit New Mexico's White Sands park, Grand Canyon, Los Angeles, Big Sur, San Francisco, Yosemite, Yellowstone on the way

At the very end of 2017 I'll be going on my gap year 'world' trip.

Current plan:
Late December: Tehran and some smaller, more touristic cities in Iran. About a week. Possibly bringing parents with me.
New Years Eve: Qatar. 3 days.
Early January: India; (New) Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. 2 week
Late January: Myanmar; Yangon and more remote places. A week and a half.
Early February: Singapore; half a week or so
Early February: Hong Kong and Macao; a week and a half
Late February: Taiwan; two weeks
Early March: Shanghai; week
Rest of March: trainride from Shanghai to Lhasa. 2 to 3 weeks.
Early April: Nepal; 3 weeks.
Late April to mid May: train through West-China and possibly Mongolia to North-East-China. 3 weeks.
Late May to mid June: South Korea. 3 weeks.
Mid June to mid July: train from south to north in Japan. 4 weeks.
Mid July to mid August: train from Wladiwostok to Moscow. 4 weeks.

I expect it to cost about 15k in total... but perhaps I should skip Myanmar for example (anyone has experience on this?). Any tips on cutting down costs or whether I overestimate/underestimate the time I spend in a place? Is the total cost realistic, with low budget stays (hostels for students) and mid-budget food (restaurants for dinner)?

Got back from my EuroTrip last week. God, y'all have the most beautiful continent. No contest.

Not gonna be able to travel for a bit. I applied for a job that nearly triples my salary and I think I am qualified for it. *fingers crossed*.

But I'm saving up next to take my mom to NYC because she's never been. After that, I might do Thailand and/or Australia. I really wanna go back to Europe, though.

I'm studying for a hard office job, but I want to travel. We live only once. I want to explore the world, not be stuck in an office and die
I'm scared that when I start working, I won't be able to travel. The vacation in the US is only 2 weeks.
