I rather have her perform Born This Way and stand by her message even if it means that she will lose all the fans she gained this era than to her to be a hypocrite and not perform that very song, which holds so much importance to not only her fans.

her performing it at carpool was a good sign already.
Born This Way is not only a song for "gays", so I don't see what the problem is. She won't alienate ****. She'll sing the chorus, which was written for literally everyone, just like she did with Carpool (which, following your logic, should have alienated people already).
'BTW' is a classic, nobody is alienated by that song.
It kinda alienated me during the BTW era, I ADORED TF/TFM era's, but really wasn't feeling BTW (song) at all, Thank God the rest of the album is amazing
