If you know, doesn't mean the whole world (especially America) knows. These 20 million audience impressions it's getting now is still very low to make an impact on the Digital sales.
People that are not interested in charts, or not so much into music like this forum, probably (Most of them) don't know she is back, or don't know NMT.
Weren't the stans bragging about how she was the #1 most searched topic on Yahoo or Google and how she was #1 on z100 for like 6 days. She got people's attention. They just didn't care.

Are you not familiar with her chart history? She's had plenty of flops, please stop with the excuses. There is simply no way to justify this terrible performance, obviously people hate the song. It's that simple.
^^Well the number one song sells about 200,000-300,000 downloads a week on average, and people obviously looked for that song in the top 100

There were ads on SEVERAL VIRAL youtube music videos for it
And it was on the homepage of iTunes
Plus charting in the top 20 on top 40 Radio
I hate to say this, but how could people not know about this single enough to have it chart in the top 20 or top 10?
I think a performance or high profile appearance will give the song a temporary jolt, but it won't cure the fact people just don't care about the song. Like that circus game where you hit the hammer to make the thing shoot up to hit the bell. It'll burst upwards, then drop again like a rock.
This song just has nothing going for it. The video won't do much to save it either.
last time I checked the stans were using 'those stats' as a basis for an argument of her relevancy. That's called convenience.
pretty much.. there was hype, according to stans. people know she's out and back. along with radio and other internet promo (I see ads on Iheartradio, ontd, itunes, etc.) "BBB" stayed in the top ten for months while she promoted only Tik Tok. christina's not doing as much as she should, but there's no excuses for its current rate.
People on ATRL / the internet make way too much of "flops". Ok, NMT flopped. Yay. Can we move on? In reality, people don't actually care if a song is a flop, so why should any of us? It doesn't matter, the artist doesn't care and the record label doesn't either. Albums are a different story, but this is a single, and if people are passing over the single that in no means guarantees that they will pass over the next one, or the album.
