if you guys inflate it to 2013 #'s, then Joanne actually did around the same or even more than ARTPOP which had massive promo & a hit single (Applause) to sell the album

Why the hell are you expecting Gaga to sell what 25 sold? Adele is a freak of nature with album sales Yes, it is the sales climate, it's factual that it's declined over the years (even though there are some exceptions). Not to mention, she had far less promo this era and no hit leading into it.

For someone that they labeled the Queen Of Pop/Music yet can't even break 200k is pretty quite embarrassing. She's doing Barbara Streisand numbers and that woman has been in the music business for decades.

I'm not pressed but you guys are so hypocritical and transparent when it comes to other girls pulling around the same numbers. Gaga had a huge discount and even the promo singles that were discounted helped it reach this number. 199K is nothing to be proud of when Beyoncé is selling more than double that without a hit single either and barely any promo.
How much would it have sold without the discount? We'll never know but congrats |
You should never compare Beyoncé to Gaga because they are really different.
Beyoncé was ALWAYS loved by people, even when she was "flopping" according to ATRL. She is truly the Michael Jackson because everything went downhill.
Gaga was always about the provocation. She's more like the new Madonna not in terms of artistry but in terms of publc perception. Love her or hate her, she's always on your mind and you've just proven my point. She provokes when she sings pop, she provokes when she sings folk.
