Can someone please explain what a "Building album sales chart" is? I'm kind of dumb when it comes to stuff like this.
My understanding is that they slowly count and release numbers from all sources - so they might get iTunes data in one update, then Amazon the next, and so on until every retailer is counted. Not 100% sure though.
Some (not all) retailers report how much the album sold so far.

Oh, so if Target for example reported how much it sold in first 5 days, they're gonna report again on Friday? I was so confused when I saw the numbers.
