They could make it a buzz single at this point if they wanted to, & simply move on to the next single. Releasing the video wouldn't help much, but it wouldn't do any damage either.

you could be right. the fact that her team is very silent speaks volumes. but i already saw that they started promo on youtube and all these sites. there's a lot of money involved here. maybe they'll try to squize as much as they can. i still doubt they'll make this a buzz single. that'll also hurt the momentum and the album.

i still expect a performance next week. any potential shows?

I guess what's aggravating is that we, the public, waited 4+ years to hear this. I totally agree with this. The thing that annoys me the most is that we had to wait so long for this song, I'm disappointed with NMT but I still like it. I don't think it is that bad. I don't think that everyone criticizing the song here are hating on it, but clearly some people are. NMT is failing, and they are enjoying every second of it.

I'm not going to bitch about at how dull this song is as a frontier for commodification of Christina's new direction anymore. If it'll flop, then so be it. At least I got a new Christina song and the forthcoming album will be my favorite LP from her. I can feel it.

Anywayz, I wouldn't participate on all the, err, 'hating' happening in the last 10+ pages or so, but I can't blame anyone for that, especially Britney and Gaga fans. Like it's been said several times already, Christina stans should had seen it coming, after all it's nothing but karma. The fact that they genuinely treat Aguilera as if she is a "legendary goddess" seems to have blinded all of them... It's tragic, but at the same time, pathetic and hilarious.

I must repeat Rico's words though: basically no one is trashing Christina PERSONALLY. And we have all the right to say Christina stans have done that in the past, so, yes, we're still rising above.

It's really the biggest problem for me as well. I don't loathe the song, but I admit I only pay attention to it because it's Christina, and I was expecting far more after her and her producers said we could expect something actually groundbreaking on what concerns the current state of Pop music.

They won't cancel the album, obviously. "Louboutins" literally went nowhere, and J. Lo isn't as big as Xtina. She was a Latin fad in 1999-2002. But, they better be getting it together.

lol Never. Louboutins failed to chart Top 50 iTunes and I think it was majorly regarding with contractual and legal subjects that brought J.Lo's new album on hold.

I dont care for NMT much either.
I like it...really love it at times, but im just too excited to hear more and the album. Honestly, if even some in the album are as good as Lift Me Up, it'll soo be my favorite too
