Metallica has been selling out since ...and Justice for All, and staying relevant by making GP-friendly albums after that like Metallica (the album). I fail them seeing as the Best Thrash band or even a Metal band at all. They are more of a Hard Rock band.

Death Magnetic is thrash for the most part and so is their new music. They only have like 3 albums in their entire discography that I would consider "GP-friendly". Also, no other thrash band have created anything as good as their first 3/4 albums and Moth Into Flame is one of the best songs to come out of the big 4 in a long time.

They sound acoustic versions of a thrash metal song.

i agree but their first 4 albums are enough to make them among the best and most important metal bands ever, and kill ém all basically popularized the way to make thrash metal.
and while s/t is super GP-friendly, it´s still a good album. the ones after tho...
DM had promising kind of throwback to Clean thrash, altho it mostly was a big let-down again. but with this new album i feel they´ll really make good songs again!

overall other bands are better representatives of the genre (see my sig), but they are Amazing live, plays alot of the old songs and they´ve had such a stamp on metal so i´m ok
