Well then, I guess I'm not the typical fan for you. I'm allowed to have opinion on artists I like. I think it's ridiculous and immature that Britney lip-syncs, but that won't change how much I love her and her music. Therefore, I can say Christina thinks she's some artistic singer when in reality, she's just another typical singer with a great voice (one that she cannot control). And if she realized that, she won't take years and years on albums to deliver mediocre music.
And, sorry. Personally, I find it funny it's flopping because Xtina stans talk so much **** about other artists, then this is the result. I still remember ROKR's "egg on your face" gif, but now where is he with attacking other artists? All you stans were hyping this up, getting cocky, saying how it would smash on Ke$ha, Britney, Beyonce's careers but now what? It may not be bad to you, but it is to a lot of people. Clearly. And sure, "haters" are taking advantage. But that's what happens when you get cocky and things backfire. Take it as a lesson.

If she starts promo soon it could go up and recover a little. but this silence is worrying. why doesn't she get out there and do something? i guess it takes time to prepare for the first performance cos it needs to be ace. she'll probably perform soon on tv. (maybe next week). i doubt her team will let this die. (unless they plan to make it buzz single...which i doubt since there's already a video filmed) so yeah...i expect some performance next week

I don't think anyone was impressed that it managed to move up one spot after dropping down over 20 places these past few days. It's going to continue to plummet until she does something to save this song. That will have to be soon, this song will be finished if it goes negative on pop radio.

If she already promoted everywhere by now the song would fizzle out quick and hype would die down.
They're taking promo slow to give the song longevity in the charts and in the publics minds.
They're trying to make people like the track slowly, rather than shoving it in peoples faces all at once, they want it to slowly grow on people and it will once the video comes out and shes performs the song on those major tv shows!
NMT is not the kind of song that needs to grow slowly. this was a dance track, a supposed hit ...these kind of songs don't take much to get started. people should get hooked immediately. it should only take a few listens. too bad this doesn't have a hook, is not catchy...so it's destined to flop.
Ciara filmed a video for "Go Girl" & released it but they changed the song to a buzz single after it flopped.
They could make it a buzz single at this point if they wanted to, & simply move on to the next single. Releasing the video wouldn't help much, but it wouldn't do any damage either.
The hating got old after like 2 pages. I can't say I'm unhappy about the single's flopping, but it's true that there are worse songs in the top 30. I guess what's aggravating is that we, the public, waited 4+ years to hear this. I was excited to get an alt/pop album from her but this song is beyond mainstream and radio-friendly, it's consciously trying to follow trends. The trends that Britney and GaGa set in 2007 and 2008. And it does have fairly contemporary production (sorta), but the melody throws it off and makes it sound like a gay dance song from 1998.
