Now she does a bit here, a bit there and most importantly it seems to resonate with people which is why word to mouth is so powerful cause are you gonna believe a commercial that's there to sell you something even if you haven't asked for that damn thing or your friend, cousin, aunty etc.

Can't be sure if what I have heard is correct or not tho but I can't see interscope sending nothing else to radio when she still has songs in the top 40. It's not like the album is a lost cause when it comes to singles. Anyway, yeah this low key promo is working so far. She could keep up a steady schedule until the superbowl and then start the tour. The album might actually have longevity this way.

I've got to give credit where credit's due - this feels like her most authentic body of work ever. It's true to who she is as an artist and it feels like she's made what she truly wanted to make.

The problem is, it's not what anyone ordered. That doesn't matter though. I genuinely don't think she cares about the charts this time around.

It does kind of suck though. She was so great for how "unapologetically pop" she was. She said "pop music will never be low brow" and now she seems to be the one doing the low-browing.

I like 'Perfect Illusion' and 'John Wayne' but I have no desire to listen to them again. Especially when there's so much other music on my Spotify that I prefer. I hear a lot of people saying "you just have to let it grow on you!!!" but all I hear is "force yourself to listen to it so much that you start to like it."

Looking forward to what she does next. Hopefully it won't be another 3 years of silence until LG6.

Interscope should just send both MR and M-AYO as a double A side to the radio and let the tracks run their course. Maybe both of them click in certain countries/ area, maybe just one, maybe none but at least we'd be out of this limbo state.
