Claire Boucher—aka Grimes—has revealed that she has scrapped recordings for her next album and begun again from scratch. In an interview with The New York Times (written by Pitchfork contributor Carrie Battan), Grimes said that the Visions follow-up she had been working on "sucked, so I threw it out and started again."
The reaction to "Go"—which was originally written for Rihanna—helped dictate the change of pace. "It upsets a lot of my fans, and I get why it upsets them," she said. “Everybody was like, ‘Oh, Grimes is pandering to the radio."
