The Circus Tour grossed more than the Sasha Fierce Tour, and any Beyonce Tour at the time

IASF is way more iconic and important than Circus, and made a much bigger cultural dent at the time and today.

4 did not have the same success of FF's singles but still somehow managed to feel as big and Run the World is more remembered than any FF single, as is Love on Top.

Yes! Bey was selling more in the music industry but Britney's celebrity/brand was much bigger during blackout/circus because of the breakdown/comeback. Album sales aren't everything. Plus Circus was selling well and the tour was the top grossing by a female that year.

Bey has always been successful but she wasn't like HUGE HUGE till BEYONCE

No one outside music crowds didn't even know who she was No shade, but she was literally the textbook definition of a B Lister in 2000-2001. Like look at the tragic gigs she was doing since that's how far her "star power" stretched to.

a hit tour,
won a record making 6 Grammys,
got her a #1 DVD for I Am… Yours which also spent eight weeks at #1 on the music video chart,
and a nine week #1 DVD for the I Am World Tour which was the best selling music DVD in the year it was released and 3rd best for the following year and which didn’t chart lower than top ten in any country it was released,
two back-to-back years of ABC Thanksgiving live Specials…
