I agree with whoever mentioned this. Aguilera fans were vile, brutal, and unforgiving during Brit's breakdown. They can't expect that to just go out and remain unanswered in some way. Right now seems to be the universe's way of reprisal timed accordingly to Christina and all the dissing, disrespect, and other things she's done that were brought up here as well.
And now for the excuses... ugh...
"Wait until ___ is released": Look where we are now. The single is out, it's doing terrible. Deal with it.
"There's no promo!": YES. There is. There has been and there will be. It's not helping. It's ineffective.
"This is RCA's fault!": So you're saying Christina ISN'T in total control?
"It's nothing like ___ would do!": Turn on a radio. It's EXACTLY what ___ would do.
That's all I can think of right now. I doubt I'll get many replies that aren't deluded to those examples.

It's ridiculous. And the thing is, most of us aren't even truly hating...just commenting on the song's performance. Xtina stans were all over Britney's ass in 2007, I remember specifically about them bashing the album debuting #2, "GM" failing to reach high positions on Pop radio, and generally her personal life. Now that this is happening, they are suddenly the victims and we are the murderers.
And those excuses have come...and will continue. Once it officially flops, they will say RCa didn't move fast enough. Um, they did a countdown to the single, promptly updating. It had a worldwide radio premiere, and according to some stans she's being talked about on a lot of music blogs. (

) Don't forget "Wait until the video" or "wait for the performance". Anthony already said it, a video premiere/performance won't help this back to life. Why? Because it never had a life.
