Well, it's all politics and reputations with the bigger stations. The fact that it survived, consistently gaining a small amount of spins for so long, rather than radio just trying it and swiftly dropping it, says it all. The smaller radio stations seemed to be willing to play it but were waiting for it to gain traction with the bigger ones. Never came...
I think they have no choice to play the Alessia card now. Hopefully Scars to Your Beautiful will begin to plateau soon, and then we can get going with #2.

I wonder why Atlantic launched it at Pop / HAC instead of Pop / Rhythmic... At first I thought they did it because the album would be HAC leaning, but almost the entirety of ML is rhythmic friendly midtempos, so... I don't get it
Been bumping this song like crazy lately. It just clicked outta nowhere.
Same with me - I had listened to it a few times since August then suddenly yesterday it just suddenly clicked and I'm now obsessed. It has everything it needs to be a 2016 radio smash... Just depends on people willing to give Jojo another chance and how her team handles it.
