Why can't people like Britney AND Christina? Because I like both. Is it impossible for some people or something? You all need to be more open-minded & not let stereotyped "feuds" affect your musical taste.
I was a Britney fan since I first heard "...Baby One More Time". The video was too.
I loved her music, how she slowly evolved into one of the biggest female superstars ever, maybe even the biggest.
She doesn't really have a single bad song in her discography. Some are only less good.
Christina has never released that great and outstanding music, and was always changing her style drastically, maybe because she feared she wouldn't be relevant or something. (no shade, really)
Her debut was a piece of irritating pop, excluding the lead single.
"Stripped" was a nice album, and I loved "Can't Hold Us Down", "Impossible" and "Dirrty" and also "Fighter", which is probably her best song.
"Back To Basics" was probably her best work, I loved "Ain't No Other Man", "F.U.S.S." (wish it was longer ) and "Oh Mother".
But overall, I only like 15 songs from her whole discography (even including the Xmas and Spanish stuff).
She has a nice voice, but she still needs to learn how to fully control it.
She also proved that even with a good voice you can't really do much and the proof is this track.
Then you don't deserve this Xtina bashing. You should probably avert your eyes away from this thread
That's quite funny, because this is a Christina thread. But hey, I believe in Xtina and i'll be always supporting her because of her music, voice and talent and not because of her sales. And even that is not bad. (I'm talking about general sales from her whole career)

I know but it has turned into SYG 2.0 Christina does have an amazing voice, I always give her credit there and that is why I think she should change her image and focus on being a vocal artist and not a mainstream sex symbol/popstar.

As for Christina's current situation...lets not jump into conclusions, she was able to reach top 5 on itunes based on her name alone, a true flop would not be capable. Do you see Toni Braxton, Monica, Fantasia, Madonna, janet, Mariah or any other real flops do it? Nope. Dont be so quick writing Christina off. This new era just started, theres still no promo. She knows what shes doing, trust me. She aint some brainless untalented hick who cant make her own decisions. Obviously, shes shooting for longevity with this song. She is a very visual artist and I love that she likes to go IN in terms of visuals in each era, always switching it up. That's expression. That's the way she feels and likes to do and I love it. It never gets boring because there's always something new to expect.
