there's plenty of receipts of the deal being finalized over the Summer and Rihanna delayed the album cause she was still recording in the Fall but let them cling to anything.
Monsters don't have much to brag about these days... They've finally comes to terms that the album won't be a commercial success and were really banking on that "critical acclaim" and welp
