I love every little song on Ray of Light BAR Little Star and To Have and Not To Hold
When it comes to Like a Prayer,every song is perfection to my ears .
In spite of that,RoL is the best album IMO and contains her BEST album closer ever ,the magnificent Mer Girl
But,I should add that Like a Prayer cover more fields so,it's more interesting than RoL, as a whole.
I know it's confusing but I hope it makes sense
It seems like an unorthodox suggestion, but the book Lover showed you is OUTSTANDING. It's obviously not a linear biography but it's more than 500 pages long, in full color, beautifully detailed, and covers pretty much everything there is on Madonna, the entries are both personal and professional. And it came out later on in 2015 so it even covers a lot of the Rebel Heart era.
I've read (I think) three biographies on Madonna (the Lucy O'Brien, the Andrew Morton one, and the J. Randy Taraborrelli). The Andrew Morton was the weakest, the O'Brien came out in early 2008 and benefits from being the most recent of the three, and the Taraborrelli is the longest one, but it came out around 2001.
Honestly, the Encyclopedia Madonnica is SUCH a great read though.

Okay I finally fell in love with Little Star..
It was the only song that I couldn't get into...
Now I LOVE every track from ROL... no doubts now that It's my fave album..period...
This was the very last song on ROL that I fell in love with. I even found room for S/A in my rebel heart before LS LS is such a special song tbh.

There are people who don't love EVERY song on Ray Of God
Just like there are people who don't worship the brilliance of Candy Shop. Misteries of Nature. But in all honesty, as much as ROL is probs my fave alberm like ever i never loved that Shanti Shanti mess or Little Star. The last song to really make an impression on me was TPOG, it suddenly hited centuries after.
