What people fail to realise in this comparison is that Lady Gaga actually composed the songs they're criticising, Rihanna merely laid vocals on. I doubt she's deeply proud of the work she did on them so obviously her reaction would be different.

This is awkward. Being perched at reviews is just silly.

The reviews are right. At least half the album is filled with bland songs that go nowhere.

HOWEVER, I can't believe that reviewer came for Angel Down of all songs. It's actually one of the few saving graces in that album. It's a beautiful song about the state of the world with wars, terrorism, murders(Or at least that's how I interpreted it) And her vocals work, the lyrics work. Well, he has the right to have his own opinion but I feel like that's not THE song to drag the album for.

I can imagine that it must be difficult to not let these things get to you, but all of the greats have had their fair share of haters. She'll never learn to simply focus on what she's doing and ignore the rest.
