It sounds pretentious and ignorant to claim this isn't a pop album. Borderline offensive to actual rock and country artists

This IS a Pop album. It might be hard to believe when you compare it to her previous releases. But at least half the songs on the record are CLEAR POP songs, a quarter is still pop with some influences and only the other quarter COULD be considered of a specific genre, and even that's a stretch.
This is a nice album. Nothing groundbreaking, which is kinda sad. Although the best songs on the Album are ballads, as amazing as that sounds because that had been one of Gaga's weakest areas up to this moment.
Million Reasons and Angel Down are great tracks. Heartfelt. Solidly written. Relatable. Just very nice songs.
Some of the songs go nowhere, some of the songs follow too much of a strict structure, a somewhat rigid vocal progression as well. But that's nothing I don't think of MANY other Pop releases. Usually, there's only a handful of songs, at most, worth the time and the rest are meh.
I still wonder why PI is included in this. It sounds extremely out of place. Applause was a little bit different than the rest of Artpop, but GUY was kind if a sister to it. Born This Way had many 80s children there with it. Bad Romance and Just Dance were part of their albums very well. So one does have to wonder WHY that song ended up being the lead single.
