Summer 2014 was such a downgrade from 2013 in terms of mainstream music.
We went from Get Lucky, Blurred Lines, Royals, Radioactive
to Fancy and that "why you gotta be so rude" song
Summer 2013 also had American Girl and We Can't Stop.
Yesterday while riding on a van, Janitor's "When I Think of You" came on the radio (being played immediately her brother's PYT) and the van driver and I both started jamming and singing to it then bonded over our love for her and he told me how he's seen her in concert and how amazing she was. He's a straight hunk (he talked about "his girl" all the damn time).
Today I was sitting on a curb listening to Madead and this lady that was near me asked me who I was listening to and I told her, then she asked me, "do you got any Janet on there?" and I told her I did and we started dancing and singing to Together Again. A few moments later she pulled her 'Damita Jo' CD out of her bag and told me how much she loves the album.
Homogenic LOST.
I promise that neither of these are collin'd in the slightest. I have no reason to.
