I'm SO happy Lady Gaga didn't try and recreate her old work, she tried her best to stay current and with whats hot when she was doing ARTPOP. She let the people dictate her project, she let the negativity drive the project(she is heard mentioning this countless times in the past).
With Joanne she shut the world off and made a cohesive project with less filler and much less noise. You can tell she was happy doing this album. You can hear the natural progression. It almost seems like ARTPOP is the redheaded stepchild born out of pure hatred and loneliness.
People(Monsters) begging for her to get back with Redone for a hit , begging her to go back to her roots are very hard to understand. When was the last time Redone had a massive hit? Do you guys rly think poker face or Just dance or even Bad Romance will do good now? Answer is HELL NO.
Joanne is by far her most important and most natural progression for her music, I rly hope she continues to grow this sound.
