Let me just say this

When I first listened to BTW, I actually tried so hard to like the album. It wasn't my cup of tea back then (but it grew so much on me now and its her best album ever)

Same with ARTPOP I TRIED SO DAMN HARD to digest that album and listened to is million times to like it. But still a cute album though

But with Joanne, oh my god, when I listened from start to finish. I'm not even lying. It was natural. I didn't have to force myself to love it just cause I love Gaga. I genuinely LOVED it instantly

It's a beautiful album that takes some risks without being ridiculous or over the top. Throughout the album you can hear Ronson reigning her in, which I love, the fact she is letting such an experienced producer help her in guiding her vision is such a great sign for the future. The top three songs on my list are all easily in her top 10/15 with the title track being a genuine classic that I hope will come to define her in some way.

Overall, my initial gut is saying she didn't quite top Born This Way but she got damn closer than I ever had imagined. Joanne is in her holy trinity along with Born This Way & The Fame Monster and I cannot wait till I get to see these songs performed live.

She should be so proud of herself and I really hope Joanne is everything she wanted it to be.

She's shown again that special little spark she has that keeps so many of us coming back every time.

I should clarify it's ok to like music like artpop more, it's fun in its messy old way and some people just like dance music more. but not being able to recognise that this is a much better album in terms of quality of song writing, production, concept and even vocals only makes you look bad.

That's not a key change, it's an octave jump. It's in the same key, she just sings it an octave higher
